I decided to get a copy of the German edition after seeing that there were a few copies for about $3 (US) on abebooks. Well, actually I put it off for about a day, and when I got around to it several of the copies seemed to be gone and the one remaining from the seller I was going to buy from had jumped to $17. A few hours later there were two from the seller for about $3 again, so I bought one; the other has now jumped to $12.

amazon.co.uk still lists the supposed Stackpole re-issue with a release date as November 1, 2018, although supposedly it's now sometime in 2019 if at all. There are a few other threads about the book that discuss pricing and free access options.

I corresponded with Mr. Luther and he said the book will be published in late 2019.

He wasn't aware that Amazon was claiming it would be published in 2018. (Amazon U.S. claimed it would be published September 1, 2018).

In a FB group Mr Luther has stated that the book is delayed because the publisher and Herr Haape's son are yet to reach an agreement.

Sorry Ken S, for the confusion on your book lol

I just checked Abebooks and if you can read Deutsch, there
is one available at a good price $20.78.

Thanks for the update as I am still waiting.

I really don't want it that badly; I just bought the one because it was $3.

Reading Moscow Tramstop now on my KIndle.

It has my vote as the best book on the German experience on the Russian Front. Truly amazing....

And to think the author, Dr Heinrich Haape, was living in Durban South Africa when I was there too. Talk about a lost opportunity !

It has pictures, and details of a trip Dr Haape's son took retracing his steps through the Eastern Front. Also copies of his letters to his wife, full details of his military record etc...

The Australian price was just as high, but the US price is $16. So, all you need to do is transfer your content to amazon.com, buy the book for $16, and then transfer back.

That is what I did..
