By the way, Peter, do you think that the Serbs in Vojvodina right now enjoy being part of Serbia or would they prefer to return to Hungarian rule?
Not even all the Hungarians enjoy the Hungarian rule :D

Although, there is a palpable support for autonomy in Vojvodina amongst the local Serbs ( https://youtu.be/-y7wYINHT64?t=2992 ).

Well, they can move to a different EU country. The EU does have open borders among its members, after all--does it not?

Which EU country did you move to, if you don't mind me asking?

I work from home. Travelling around, and writing a book about contemporary Europe. Now I live in Athens, Greece.

Pretty cool! Is Greece better than Hungary?

BTW, when is your book going to be published?

No, it's worse. Way worse. My biggest disappointment so far. (But I will move to Portugalia next year, so we'll see.) What makes it really bad is the attitude of the locals - they think they deserve better and entitled to more.

I don't know. So far, I have been to Hungary, Austria, Slovakia, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Czechia, Germany, Spain, Italy, UK and Ireland. I'd like to spend at least a year around the Baltics and in the BENELUX-France. I don't intend to earn a lot of money with the book, but I write it in German to reach the proper number of audience. So I am in no hurry, I have enough passive income to live without a job, and a proper home office job to live a middle class life in most countries.

It will be a very sad story btw, I mostly focus on the problems of the continent. Things I run and ran into really shock me, and after my visit to Triest, I rewrote the script into a satiric dialogue between two fictional persons. One of them argues impulsively about what she sees, feels and believes, the other one does not argue, he just says things sadly; things he knows. She doesn't see the past or the future, he doesn't see the present, and they are unable to put it together.

Very interesting! Anyway, why write in German and not in English? English has a larger audience, no?
