Does the Heer have small armed tugboats beside the Kriegsmarine? I know the US Army have their tugboat fleet during WWII.

There was a small flotilla under Wehrmacht/Heer control on Rhodes in the Aegean.

From Dr. Peter Schenk's book "Kampf um Die Ägäis"

"On 30 October 1943 Sturmdivision Rhodes formed a Military Flotilla (Heeresflotille) with local craft, it was used for the defence and supply of neighboring islands." There were a few tugs and small boats in this.

Thank you for your interesting answer. Well I was looking for information about armed Heer tugboats in action and that they sometimes used for combats against enemy small boats in the Baltic Sea area.

While doing some small arms research, I found photos of what appeared to be up-gunned barges and possible tugboats used on the Adriatic coast. The photo series I saw showed them ferrying Ordnungspolizei personnel with their equipment. Try searching for 'Jugoslawien' in the 1943-1944 time frame in the Bundesarchiv Foto collection.
