His name is happy chappy.

I can confirm the image is of a German armoured fighting vehicle, not a truck or softskin vehicle.

With respect, yan had already stated that he wouldn't be able to find a suitable subject for the next round...and no one else had chipped anything in for 2 days.
And technically I'm still owed a go for identifying the wirblewind precursor. Like yan, I just didn't have any interesting images then, for "my" go, until I spotted the "happy chap" photo very recently in a new book and thought it would be a perfect teaser.
You had months to take up your turn and didn't. Not gonna get into a pissing contest with you over but it was rude to butt in and take over a thread. No matter what Ian said about it it was my call not yours. Take your arrogant self and Butt OUT.

Bloody hell, I didn't know it had been done previously, I am sorry Alan.

I had a Japanese motor bike thingy to put up, but I suppose it wouldn't count as a armoured vehicle.

Alan,
Why dont you submit a vehicle for the quiz since Bam screwed this all up and let's move on.

Whoa just a minute...MY nerve?? This quiz has got bogged down by your actions rich, don't blame me. You interrupted.
You forced Ian to post when he stated he didn't have a new image. And that’s why it’s floundered.

I acknowledged it was Ian's go but that he'd passed, and put 1 up to keep the ball rolling. No one else complained, least of all Ian who started to try and decipher my photo.

Then you barge in, all furious, saying you're in charge and no one else can choose. We have to get your permission? Why? Who appointed you? It’s Ian’s decision .
And for someone professing to care about etiquette, you're happy enough Swearing & slinging personal insults around, which has no place on this site and IS TOTALLY against the rules.
If you don't like me, keep it to yourself. Not on here. No one else cares. There's too many dumb insults on forums already. And nearly always from members of the same country...

I apologise for taking everyone else’s time up here, but I won’t be trolled.

Now, If anyone's got an intellectually stimulating photo, please put it on!

Bam, you talk of being trolled but I have to say that I believe you only post on this thread to start disagreements. Someone who is trolling you wouldn't sign his name at the end of each post, or in my case use his real name as his username. Do you do either ? And why am I wasting my time even reacting to your rants, I should have learned the last time that you did the vary same thing on this very same thread.

This thread is supposed to be a bit of fun not an excuse for you to berate people. There is far too much real angst in this world for me to ever look at another of your posts, i know that for sure.

I’ll take that on board Alan. If I’m over argumentative, I’ll try toning that down, but it’s never meant personally, and I’ve never knowingly overstepped the line and broken the rules.

In this Threads instance,I’m just defending myself from abuse.

No Bam you went against the established etiquette by inserting yourself into this thread without earning it. You see it works like this - I put up a picture for everyone to identify. I then tell them whether they are right or wrong and then that person gets to pick the next quiz subject. So yes at the point you took over the thread I WAS IN CONTROL. And I only had temporary control since I gave the last correct answer. I didn't force Ian to do anything. Ian is welcome to pass on his turn - its done all the time.

I did not swear and my "insults" were personal opinions based in fact. Not here to troll anyone - least of all you. And I support Alan's summation - you like to stir up things and be argumentative. You want to prove your smarter than others and it shows in your comments, wording and inflection. If you want to call being put in your place abusive - go ahead. But you need to learn respect and show some respect for others on this site.

Now let's get back to what we all enjoy. Alan please put up a quiz subject for us.

Rich here is my next quiz, an easy one I think but we really are running short of new topics. I suppose I could ask for the unit along with the name of the vehicle as it is actually known by sad old gits like me  However just the proper name will do.

Alan, I have no idea what the vehicle is. It has what looks like a hull MG and the turret or gun citadel has a curved shield, well it does to me.
I don't think it is German as the MG is on the left and I think it is some sort of SP Gun.
