Thanks, Mike, for contributing these biographical sketches to this forum, I believe they will be as valued as Dieter's thread.

One question, though: why don't you include HJ-Ritterkreuzträger? One that spring to mind is Kurt Budäus: https://www.tracesofwar.com/persons/287 ... s-Kurt.htm

Furthermore Michael Buddrus mentions Erich Bärenfänger as a Oberbannführer. Others would be Werner Baumbach and Gerhard Hein.

The inclusion of the HJ-Ritterkreuzträger would contribute to the bigger picture of why the propaganda apparatus focused on certain Ritterkreuzträger.

Regards
Halfdan S.

Your work is simply amazing. It would be pretty neat to see an eventual book out in this.

Thank you very much.

I may include it in one of the later volumes of my and Andreas Schulz's Leaders of the Storm Troops series. It'll be a long while before I get to that, though.

Best wishes,

Thank you for that excellent suggestion, Halfdan, and for the info. on Bärenfänger's HJ rank. Definitely a worthwhile undertaking. I think once I've completed SA, NSKK, and NSFK, I'll move on to separate pinned threads on HJ and RAD recipients (limiting coverage to those who held leadership roles in those organizations, of course).

Best wishes,
~ Mike
