La Pallice
Re: La Pallice
L.S. bunker in the harbor area of La Pallice , photo are from Ebay . Regards Jos
Re: La Pallice
Jos I think these are located more to La Rochelle.
In between the railroad, Boulevard de Cognehors and Rue de la Marne.
When we were there it was still military terrain, we could not enter it, we asked but we were not allowed to take a look.
It seems to have transformed to a industrial area with offices.
Bunkers are still there.

Re: La Pallice
Yes, Jos, La Pallice...
Guard house leading to the lock.
In the background, and on the left, the Customs office building.
And on the right a personnal shelter (R501).
Informations from "La base sous-marine de La Rochelle" page 83 (Luc Braeuer, Liv'Éditions)

Re: La Pallice
Jos,
"L'hôtel de Chalet" was located 210 Bd Émile-Delmas and it was the "Heim der Hafenkommandantur".
Partially destroyed by the Allied bombing on September 16, 1943
From "La Rochelle réquisitionnée" (Xavier de Ronne).

JLM
Re: La Pallice
Thanks JLM
For the info of the Hotel du Chalet, I am not sure if that is second one is the customs office
because the chimneys don't fit and there is no a extra lower building on the right side and
there is no road for the 501 .
