New RG layout at NARA
I recently noticed that the Record Groups have a different homepage, where now one can observe how much has been digitized.

Thanks. It's pretty nice, and useful when you have a first idea what you're looking for.
Re: New RG layout at NARA
Does anybody know in which Record Group are the documents we usually use, like the T 78 Rxxx rolls?
Re: New RG layout at NARA
Record Group 242 (Captured German Records)

Maybe I am looking at the wrong direction, but I can't find the current prices of microfilms. How much is it these days?
Re: New RG layout at NARA
Here NARA's webpage with the microfilm roll digitization information, including prices. Note, the microfilm digitization program is suspended at the moment because of the COVID pandemic.Piet Duits wrote: ↑27 Aug 2020, 13:11Maybe I am looking at the wrong direction, but I can't find the current prices of microfilms. Re: New RG layout at NARA
Unfortunately, the aerials are low resolution - scanned at only 300 dpi.

Re: New RG layout at NARA
Yeah...for the real thing we have to pay ncap, it seems this was the deal, nara will get to publish free 300 dpi, ncap sells the higher resolutions
Re: New RG layout at NARA
NCAP's prices are very expensive. Once NARA re-opens, it may be cheaper to use NARA's online catalog as a finding aid and have a researcher (someone other than me), scan a aerial at about half the price of NCAP.

Thanks for the links, I think it's the first time they scan and upload German documents, isn't?
Funny that they picked T501: it's one of the series BAMA also uploaded last year.
