Das neue Soldaten-Liederbuch - Band III - Edition Schott 2899
All in all I can highly recommend those three books.
Great assortment. Great arrangement. Not to easy. Not to difficult.

Overall 10/10 "The Sheet Music Series to go"

Neues Deutschland - Kampf- und Freiheitslieder für Klavier mit Text - Edition Schott 2580

7,5/10
This book features some rare early third reich songs, but some double with "Das Soldatenliederbuch"
The arrangement is very enjoyable and the amount of songs featured is fine aswell.

To avoid overcrowding the topic with posts related to one book, please post it as a single file (pdf/link), as others did.

Songs in the SS-Liederbuch

#39

Post by P4NZ3R » 06 May 2021, 23:37

I found this song Wir sind des Geyers schwarzer Haufen on youtube and I think I red that this was in the SS-Liederbuch. Does anyone know which songs were in the SS-Liderbuch as well? Is there a list or an overview?
Thank you

If you mean SS-Liederbuch, Herausgegeben vom Rasse- und Siedlungshauptamt SS, there are close to 150 songs in it.
It was a large edition, so you can still buy an original one; it had been scanned as well.

Hello, P4NZ3R (and Greg and ostland)

Bare in mind that there were different SS songbooks, and different editions of them. The aforementioned SS songbook (by the RFSS, 9th edition, 1941) actually contains almost no SS songs and reminds of just about any (para)military songbook of the period. The song "Wir sind des Geyers schwarzer Haufen" (which had nothing to do with the SS) can be found in the chapter "Wir zogen in das Feld", containing old soldiers' songs.

I've merged your question with an older thread dealing with songbooks. Check Wim's old download link on page 1 and see if the SS songbook by the RuSHA is still available (search for the file "Liedboek PDF - Duits - ̶W̶a̶f̶f̶e̶n̶ SS Liederbuch - Herausgegeven von Rassen- und Siedlungshauptamt"). You'll find "Wir sind des Geyers schwarzer Haufen" there as well, in the chapter "Der Trommler schlägt Parade" (containing marching songs). The song can be also found in numerous other (non-political) songbooks, from 1920s to 2020s.

Below are some scans from a booklet of songs called Lieder zur Julzeit, published by the SS-Hauptamt, including the table of contents. I can scan the words and music for any others of these songs you'd like to see.
Hallo!
Do you still have this booklet (Lieder zur Julzeit)? If so, can you scan it in its entirety?

MfG,
H. v. M-S.
