Great news today for modeller's and military book buyers, the long OOP and holy grail book "Kampfgruppe Muhlenkamp" reprint will be available November!.
All those greedy s/h sellers out there must be having a very bad day today, with their prices usually from £500 up, or really any price that comes into their heads, it's now nearer 1000 ( dollars, pounds, euros, take your pick!!).
I can imagine the scramble to offload these now on Ebay, Amazon, etc. when the word gets about.
I believe it will be around 130 Canadian Dollars, Brilliant......

Re: "Kampfgruppe Muhlenkamp"
It really has nothing to do with "greed". If there are a limited number of copies printed and there is a demand for the book, any seller lucky enough to actually get their hands on a copy is obviously going to try and make some money off of it. Why should they under-price the book to appease low-income modellers when there's the chance that a wealthy collector who can easily afford to pay £500+ may be out there? Moreover, when you see prices over $1000 for a relatively recently published book usually these are "placeholders" (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/forums ... ces/274968). I doubt any "greedy" bookseller is going to lose any sleep over the book being reprinted.

Re: "Kampfgruppe Muhlenkamp"
I beg to differ. it is nothing more than greed, the true value has to be the original cost of the book. Of course books of a specialist nature will increase in value, but plucking figures out of the sky I find unacceptable. I have paid hundreds of dollars at times for a book no problem. But a thousand bucks is crazy. I don't see the point of mentioning "low income modellers" against wealthy people. I think value for money is the issue.

No, it's amount that the bookseller thinks they can sell it for.
So you didn't bother to click the link to find out what a "placeholder" is? But if the bookseller does actually have a copy and decides to list it at such a high price, that's their choice.
