Hello!FlyingStukas wrote: ↑31 Oct 2020, 02:45Hello again, Hans,
The variation you posted in your photo is the so-called Albanerfez, a Fez variation for Albanians. It was worn only in the Albanian battalion of the 13th SS Division.
Hope this helped
Thanks!Ivan Ž. wrote: ↑09 Feb 2022, 16:54Hello again,
I think it might be an image by SS-PK Nonnenmacher, but I have no confirmation yet. Coincidentally, I came across the same picture today in a local library while browsing through Hungarian wartime magazines, and it was included in a propaganda report on the "Handschar" Division, which had several photos that I know were taken by this photographer. Naturally, that doesn't mean that all the images included in the report were his, but there's a chance. Unfortunately, the Hungarian press, as usual, credited no photographer for the photos.
Cheers,
Ivan
Thanks for the information!Ivan Ž. wrote: ↑13 Feb 2022, 12:23Hello, Huska
This and several other "Handschar" photos were offered for sale on http://www.military-antiques-stockholm.com/ in mid-2020.
It shows men of the Anti-Aircraft Battalion. Here's another one from the same sale viewtopic.php?f=51&t=77027&start=690#p2281661
