1945 Lost German girl

I understand the fascination and the interest about the here so called "1945 Lost German girl", the title of this
very long thread, very understandable.

My mother Ingrid, born in 1935, and her mother Alberta, born in 1914, both of them escaped from the former Sudetenland
with one of the very last transports, protected by german troops, they were very lucky back then.

My mother never talked about this time later, even in her elder years, Ingrid was never able to talk about all this.
Her mother, my beloved grandmother talked very often in her older years about the escape to the north german homeland.

Nowadays, I am very sure, that my mother suffered from something like PTSD for the rest of her life, Ingrid passed away in the year 2017.
1971, Ingrid and me, we visited the former Sudetenland once again, she wanted to visit the beloved land of her childhood time.
A good two weeks long trip with the car, we never talked about the trip in later years.

Please, please lead this topic in a respectful way, that would be my wish.

Several posts that contained a link to a blog by Luboš Motl were deleted, as in the post and subsequent discussion, the writer clearly advocates violence towards women (and men) based on political beliefs and ethnic origins. As we tend to remove links to sites like IHR and CODOH where similar views are often expressed (though different target groups) I do not see it as acceptable to allow links to this mans blog. People can seek his thoughts out for themselves if they wish, but we should not encourage such traffic on this site.

Even decades after Ingrid and her mother escaped from the Sudetenland, this was still a topic...

After returning from the Seychelles in 2012 to Germany, my mother could not recognize nobody anymore, she was always talking
about her younger years in the Sudetenland, always talking about her father in the RAD uniform.

Her father Hans was the only person in her life, there was no other person left over in her life beside Hans, who passed away in the year 1967.
Sitting next to her, she always named me Hans, she did not recognize me as her son anymore.

I took some photos of Ingrid, showing the photos to her, she did not even recognize her own photos anymore...

When Ingrid was alone in her room, she was sometimes shouting very loud about violence, abuse, punishing, and more nasty things,
rememberances from the escape from the Sudetenland, I am very sure about this.
Ingrid and I, we never had a very close mother/son relationship, for many reasons, we were always apart of each other.

One day, I will be able to visit the gravesite of the family, not yet, takes more time...

There is an organisation for the displaced Sud Deutch. The president, was Dr Werner Nowak, of Plochingen 73207. If he is still president, I am not sure as he is 89 years of age. I have known him as a very dear friend for 40 years. He has told me of his and his familys experiences in Prauge. There final escape in 1945.

Im Internet macht seit einigen Jahren ein Filmstreifen “1945 Lost German Girl/1945 deutsches Mädchen, das sich verirrt hat” die Runde.Er zeigt eine misshandelte junge Frau, die zögernd und ziellos dem Rand einer einsamen Landstraße entlang taumelt, am Kilometerstein „78“ vorbei. Ihr linkes Auge ist zugeschwollen, ihr Haar blutgefärbt. Sie ist mit einem dunkelfarbenen Pulli und einer feldgrauen Soldatenhose bekleidet, die weder auf Waffengattung noch auf Rang schließen lassen. Trotzdem lautet die Bildbeschreibung des Kameramanns:
MCS AS SS GIRL WALKS TO CAMERA !!!!! "

Carlos, sorry, there are only a few photos left over from the time, when my grandfather Hans commanded a former
RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst) Abteilung in the former Sudetenland.

The former RAD Abteilung was stationed in the small village "Stadt Liebau".

P.S. The grandfather was commanded to the Sudetenland as an officer in the RAD, the homeland of the familiy was the
Ammerland (North West Germany) region.

Actually there is but it's visual. There is one pic where all the 'tells' on the face and head match and can be declared Lore Bauer - one and the same (for me).

There is that 'super' young pic of alleged Lore Bauer that's hard to verify other than maybe the baby fat on the face was gone much later by the Haglund film. Or perhaps she's a 'different' Lore Bauer.

Overall regardless of whether you believe or not, that's as good as we have for now unless something new pops up.

In the capture, Lara Bauer and all her known history were named first, then in the blog that appeared, the name of Lore Bauer was joined (on behalf of Lore it only came from another blog in a fiction novel by LGG)

"Carsten Bergman" was only a busy-body without any evidence for his claim. Thus I would NOT post "On August 30, 2014 in the Axis History Forum an individual named Carsten Bergman WHO WORKS AT THE National Institute on Geneological Research " in the blog, but that´s my personal opinion.
I don´t believe a single word from his post.
Or like "LostGermangirls-Grandson", who posted on April 9th 2013 (!):

In your Blog, the 3 pictures look like 2 different women to me. the one I have always felt looked most like the women in the video and for me at least matched up the best, but who knows

Looking for I found the following footage, you can see German soldiers who surrendered in Ejpovice to the US troops, in the comparison it is in a few meters where LGG was filmed, this footage corresponds to May 09-10, 1945 that is almost a day later, maybe in that group of people this LGG walking or sitting there ...
