Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Hello! is it a knight's cross or an EK II photomontage? Who received the knight's cross before February 1940? What form of troops? Judging by the signature, he is from Austria. Could he be awarded posthumously?
Write text:"Meiner kleinen Freundin Hedi als Dank! Leoben, Feber 1940 [signed]"
"To my little friend* Hedi as a thanks! Leoben, February 1940"
*) female form
Leoben is a city in Austria. Feber is Austrian dialect for Februar.

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
One and only Leutnant who received RK before Westfeldzug was Josef Stolz and it's definitely not him.
Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Any ideas regarding the identification of this WH officer?

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Yes, indeed, you are right, I was wrong. This is not Wagner, but I have a photo and a Knight's Cross recipient (page 1284 @6) and his name, you just need to find it in the archive. I spent about 5 hours searching for a photo of Helmut Wagner!

Thank's a lot, Hugo, CSI styleSinjoorke wrote: ↑09 Jan 2021, 14:15Both ID's from das-ritterkreuz and Scherzer are correct. Just compare the ears.Jaime wrote: ↑07 Jan 2021, 09:25A little help if possible.
Traveling through old posts I have found an error that persists in my files and that was clarified in a post (sorry, but I can't find it).
Pic 1. comes from the "late" das-ritterkreuz. Kurt Deichen (Pz.Aufkl.Abt.3).
Pic 2. from "Scherzer". Eduard "Charly" Kraus (Pz.Gr.Rg.14).
Eduard Kraus in both cases 99%.
I would be very grateful if someone could contribute a photo of Kurt Deichen.
Thank's a lot in any case, and happy new year to all of you.
