Request for Identification of Generals and Admirals
Re: Request for Identification of Generals and Admirals
Hello everyone
Who is this LW Generalmajor ? (Got the DK and also worth noting he didn't get the 1914 Iron Cross 1st class)
Photo taken very likely during funeral (see background)
I would also appreciate info on the political leader at right : I'm not familiar with this uniform and the Odalrune.
Tks
Denis

Thanks my friend !
As Wilke was garrisonned in Zagreb, I wonder whether the official at left is not a political leader of the German community in Croatia (Volksgruppe)...

Hi,
This pic shows in the center Generalmajor Georg-Hans Reinhardt as Cmdr of 4. Panzer-Division in Poland.
The officer - marked with the red mark - seems to be Cpt. Willy Lankeit - at the time Cmdr of 8./Panzer-Regiment 36.
But who is the General on the left side - sitting at the table??

Who would this General be? Interesting to see that he has a naval badge. The only other time I saw a Heer General displaying a naval badge was Helmuth Weidling. I'm sure there were others.
