Can you find out what is written on this seal?
The find was made on the island of Matua.

Best regards

不自惜身命. It is a word from 蓮華経(Lotus Sutra).

Many thanks
Could it be a priest's seal or just an amulet?

Medical finds from the island of Matua. Can the inscription be translated?
And is there a detailed description of the medical equipment of the Japanese army?

Best regards

And another question about Japanese dishes, which are often found on Shumshu and Matua in the locations of Japanese military personnel.
Ceramic dining sets in white with blue stars, very good workmanship, are they exclusively officers' accessories?
(pictured above in a row, upside down and broken)

To me, they look ordinary 茶碗(tea bowl). In the army, privates used metal bowls. So, they would be used by officers.

Everywhere they write that these are officer sets of dishes ...

I wonder if there are catalogs or tables describing the types of these dishes?

Best regards

During the war, they were earthen to save metal. So, they were easily broken.
