Who is this Knight's Cross holder in Copenhagen? His face looks so familiar but I can't put a name to it.

Well done, Glenn! It is him, thanks very much.

I see that Hallandsen mentioned the same photos here: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=240821

What makes you think it's Jost? The two officers in the background have SS runes on their right collar patches which tends to indicate they are not SD. What looks like a sleeve diamond on the SS-Oberführer's left sleeve turns out to be a blemish on the photo print. His hairstyle looks a bit like Jost, but without X-ray vision spectacles, I think it's too hard to tell.

Max,
in my opinion there is a resemblance between the SS-Oberführer and Jost. I am not saying it is him, it is just my suggestion (maybe a wish it was him:)). I hoped that someone has another photo from this event which could help to tell who he is. His hairstyle is 100% like Jost, but the shape of his ear doesn´t match the Jost. In my opinion we managed to identify more difficult photos like this one. But I agree it might be hard to tell.

I think we can rule out Jost as this is a wartime photo and he was already SS-Brif. from 20 April 1939.

Best wishes,

The EK2 ribbon? I thought that, but I'm no expert on decorations.

I get an Eicke and Lippert notion, but I'm not sure. Any suggestions or positive ID?
