F.N. Gerät
Re: F.N. Gerät
HI Arthur
Sounds very logical ,Type B and Type A , not only the panzer 457P01 is
longer but also the F.N. gerat must be longer in the Baustarkte A .
Regards Jos

Hello,
of all the nazi fortress weapons, the F.N. (FestungsNahkampfgerät) is likely the most mysterious. As we had one in the B-Werk Besseringen, we are constantly looking for any information. We know how it worked and how it was constructed, we even have a enamel manual for the F.N. in our F.N.-Room. But what we never could find out:
Who is the manufacturer of the F.N.-Gerät???
Does anybody know that?
Greetings from Germany

Thanks Jos, interesting. Here's a plan for Flammenwerfern in a Regelbau along the Rhine near Isteiner Klotz. Looks similar.

Re: F.N. Gerät
I think the mystery is unravelled. The manufacturer of the F.N.-Gerät should be Minimax as well. There is a document which says that "in case of problems by implementing the F.N.-Gerät Minimax should be contactet". In addition, I got a photo from a german guy who's granddad worked for Minimax. He said, that the photo was taken in the B-Werk Obersimten during installation of the F.N.

They are also on their side.

Hi Jos,
No this is the top of the M19 turret with it's protective cover (Schutzhaube) resting on top of the crate.
