Unknow gun
Re: Unknow gun
This gun was a competitor to the sIG33 and remained a prototype.
The scan that Karlik posted says: “In the early 1930s, Rheinmetall offered infantry guns with box and split mounts. The heavy 15 cm infantry cannon was developed and tested with a 40-degree swing mount. The weight has increased to 2100 kilograms. The high weight of the heavy 15 cm infantry gun with a spread mount decided the matter in favor of the design with the box mount (sIG33). This happened in 1933."
Apparently, this weapon did not have any official designation, since it was not accepted for service.

Hi!
In the section about 4.7 cm Bohler gun, kfbr392 has posted a list of Austrian artillery for 1938 (viewtopic.php?p=2341227#p2341227). You are interested in the guns highlighted in red. Is there any information, characteristics, images about them?
Best regards!

Re: Unknow gun
Hello everybody,
I am looking for more information about these two Dutch anti-aircraft guns (see photo below). I mean: the history of creation, technical characteristics and more. Also not sure about the exact title. Can someone have a better image? I would be grateful.

Re: Unknow gun
Hi ,
I have had this clipping for many years, it is from a magazine (RID Italian Defense Magazine of 1983). The photo shows Italian soldiers (Alpini) on the Russian front in 1942; you see an 81 mortar and a 47/32 gun.
In the middle is an object that looks like an artillery piece, I couldn't figure out what it is.
Nobody distinguishes what is it? Thanks for any help.
Regards, Shultz

Re: Unknow gun
What ever it is, there is no crew with it, so that might be a clue? Not a weapon, but what then? The commander's shield? Seen something like that before...
Re: Unknow gun
Found this on the 8 cm HIH Siderius gun, it was a trail with one gun in 1927 Maartensdijk

Re: Unknow gun
Hi Jos, that info from De Bilt is far from correct.
@VRIL7
Hi, I have been researching HIH and HIH SIderius for many years and I could say some things about those guns.
Can I ask you two things:
- where did you find those pictures?
- what do you need the info for?
Thanks!
Nuyt

Re: Unknow gun
Hello Nuyt,
Can I rely on you to provide me with accurate historical information? Perhaps in a personal. I would really appreciate it.
I found the pictures a long time ago on The Overvalwagen Forum. But unfortunately now, all links are dead.
I have been studying military equipment and weapons of the Second World War for many years. This is very interesting to me. I am especially interested in the own developments of various small countries, since little is known about them. I would like to model them. Therefore, exact dimensions, drawings and photos are needed. In addition, I am the historical consultant for a WWII historical game that requires accurate historical background information on each weapon.

Re: Unknow gun
You can still find many HIH Siderius picturess I collected on the new Overvalwagen Forum (except the old article):

My files are in storage for several months (moving house). Exact dimensions will be difficult for these two guns anyway (and they were never used, just prototypes).
