probably french "Berthier" rifles from the WW I, but I am not sure...

Is the photo taken at Hertogenbosch ("’s-Hertogenbosch") dated, nice detail, one of the former Luftwaffe Rekruten
had a flower in the barrel of his rifle. :)

The Luftwaffe solders have French Berthier rifles, yes.
Interesting is, that the left boy has an early pattern Berthier mle1907/15 with 3 shot clip and angled bolt handle, the others have the later Berthier mle 1916, caled M16, with 5 shot clips and straight bolt handle.

interesting link, but what russian(?) pistol did the W-SS soldier in the above photo carry behind his belt buckle..? :?
(Was the pistol of russian production at all?)

I had only noticed that it was a russian pistol of the time, unfortunately I did not know the exact model.

Seeing that ppsh, did the Germans ever get a hold of Suomis? Either bought from the Finns, or captures late in the war (or even earlier as second hand captures off of the Soviets)?
