SG 84/98 III Bajonett

Hallo

Here I only show Gebrüder Heller Marienthal which is my favorite producer.

I would like to show my collection of WW2 German SG 84/98 III bajonett, this manufacturer Gebrüder Heller Marienthal made the SG 84/98 III bajonett from 1934 - 40 (he has also made in WW1 but I will return to it by another apartment) - I have almost all his collection from 1934 - 40 but lack it from 1936 (S178 1936). All my Gebrüder Heller Marienthal collection are matching number and have a nice unsharpened blade, from left it is: S 178K WaA73 (K means it is from 1934) - S 178G WaA73 (G means it is from 1935) - S 178 1937 WaA214 - Gebr. Heller 1937 WaA214 - Gebr. Heller 1938 WaA37 - Gebr. Heller 1939 WaA37 and finally far right it is the last in the row Gebr. Heller 1940 WaA37. All has a frog and this one on the far right has a police/SS frog with RBN.r stamp (of course it is also used by Heer soldiers as camo winter frog). I also have someone from WW1 with the same manufacturer Gebrüder Heller Marienthal (M1884/98 II bajonett - S14 bajonett) and it is with sawback and without sawback models.

My great passion is the WW1 and WW2 German SG 84/98 III bayonet (especially Gebrüder Heller Marienthal and bym Genossenschaft Maschinenhaus Ferlach-Kärnten) I collect but of course have other manufacturers such as Mundlos AG, Magdeburg Nord - Elite Diamant A.G. Siegmar/Schönau bei Chemnitz - Dürkopp A.G. Bielefeld - Ernst Pack und Söhne, Solingen - F.W.Höller, Solingen - Carl Eickhorn, Solingen - Friedrich A. Herder und Sohn, Solingen - P.Weyersberg, Solingen - JOS.CORTS Sn. Remscheider Hobelmesserfabrik Josua Corts und Sohn, Remscheid, and so on in the collection. I also have some from Kriegsmarine Ostsee and Nordsee Bajonett - All my SG 84/98 III bayonets are matching number and unsharpened blade.

Good morning Leif,

thanks for your reply, you are welcome! :milwink:

Did you already look at the "Links und Bücher" section on the "sigges-bajonette" website...

Wikipedia (G) Liste der Blankwaffenfachbegriffe / List of blank weapon technical terms
Link: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der ... chbegriffe (Excellent!, only av. in german language)

Very informative also the german website seitengewehr.de, hosted by Herr Rolf Selzer from Herborn.
Please take a look at the many special *.pdf files, further down the page...
Link: https://www.seitengewehr.de

More links to follow, good luck for your further researches...

P.S. Visit "Deutsches Blankwaffen Forum": http://www.deutsches-blankwaffenforum.de (Very well recommended!)
