Were there any stateless volunteers for the Axis in Europe?

Did the Axis in Europe accept any foreign-volunteers who did not have citizenship with any existing country? I've read that Japan accepted stateless White-Russian emigres into their puppet Manchurian army, so it seems this sort of thing wasn't unprecedented during WWII.

Hi,
Few white russians (apatride with Nansen passport) served in NSKK units

Interesting. Do you know what sort of duties those Russians in the NSKK were given, or where they worked (i.e. Germany or occupied territory)? And did any of them move on from the NSKK to other organisations?
