I keep staying away from such documentary junk because of the watermark that ruins the document and it's validity. Obviously I'm not talking about the data in them, but the quality that is lost due to a useless and absurd watermark, I wonder why they don't put them on sale and stop providing documents "crippled" by a "label". They should take example from Ba-Ma.

It's too bad you ignore 1 million + pages of documents while so many scholars use it. But that's your choice.Adler Heinz wrote: ↑03 Oct 2021 13:43I keep staying away from such documentary junk because of the watermark that ruins the document and it's validity. Like everyone, I first disliked the watermark, and I would still prefer it removed. However, they number each single image with the file and the folio number : that's convenient when it comes to quoting a document properly in a publication.

As the documents are perfectly readable, I don't really see what the issue is.
The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41

I've double checked: it seems they removed the files, there's just a blank page. They had ca. 2,000 pages in 19 folders. I made a local copy, as I always do.

I would like to understand why this decision to use a watermark invalidates the "quality" of the document. Before they decided to start "marking" all documents, I had a chance to download some. I had a chance to read some documents, there is a lot of new data, but I prefer to wait for BaMa to make more available. Anyway, it's a pity.Mori wrote: ↑03 Oct 2021 22:08It's too bad you ignore 1 million + pages of documents while so many scholars use it. All in all, I got used to their watermark. I don't see it anymore when I read the documents.
I would still prefer documents shared without it. Putting a watermark on free for download documents is a lot like "we give it for free but we don't really want to". Don't see the point.
