Looks like a bus & lorry combination, a body style used in Northern Scandinavia well into the post-war period. Late ones typically had fewer doors though.

Leyland Bison TSG1 (1931) It may be a loader's compartment, but there's plenty of room for the driver to rest.

In the description of the picture it says:
"Extra wide cab was custom built. Rear of the front seat was hinged so it lifted up and hooked onto chains, making 2 single beds. Used to take a load of produce to market and then have a sleep before returning. "
