Strange firing pin

Hy guys.

Few days ago I found strange firing pin long aprox 7 or 8 cm. It is heavy.
What do you thing, which system belongs to?
Tank or canon?

Yes, and those of us with good vision can see that.

How about some measurements? If you have it in your possession, could you give us a more exact idea of how long it is, how wide and an exact idea of the width of the hollow area. Depth would be helpful too.
Without that, it will be very difficult to figure this one out.

Maybe part of a large gun, removed and thrown away to sabotage it, or.... part of the fuze for a bomb, perhaps?

Definitely striker / firing pin from an artillery gun. The spring is inside the striker and both are contained in the breech block of the gun, typically under a quick-detach (for cleaning) cover plate.

Right. I'm no expert, but wasn't most German cannon ammo electrically fired, or was that just for the AFVs?

Really heavy guns of battlewhip-size fired bagged charges, so.... perhaps this was for a 28cm gun or smaller. I wish we had a location for the discovery,

Tank guns were electrically fired, land guns had generally percussion igniters (with very few exceptions).

Thanks, so what about Naval guns?
For some reason I am thinking something from 21cm-28, maybe a former naval gun made into a shore battery or RR gun. Really don't have anything to go on other than the size of this thing.
