Here's the pic with EH3bx... https://de.metapedia.org/m/images/a/a4/ ... 955%29.jpg
Do you see the side stripes on his second ribbon bar (Iwan Heunert)?
At first, I believed so. But as I wrote before, I came to the conclusion that they're not there. Those barely visible stripes are from the neighbouring ribbons. Plus the EH3bx on the pic I've linked to has the same colour tone as WHDA. On Heunert's pic it's different a lot and WF3ax should probably be little brighter then WHDA... So I do still believe it's WF3ax. What do you think?

General der Infanterie Wilhelm Wetzel
Spange zum EK 2. Klasse 27.05.1940
Spange zum EK 1. Klasse 1.07.1940
Ostmedaille 1.08.1942
Slowakisches Kriegssiegerkreuz 3. kl
 Kubanschild (1943).
Hi, are you sure with the Slowakisches Kriegssiegerkreuz 3. kl? He's wearing it on the neck so it should be I. or II.Klasse.
Awarded when already had DK in Gold, so 1942+. I'd vote for 1st class, he was General der Infanterie and 34 germans in total received 1st class (61 2nd class).

Bonjour,
I think the mistake is that in the majority of orders the neck medal (Commander) is often listed as 3rd class.
For the Slovak Order of Victory, the designation is reversed:
Grand Cross, 1.kl (Grand Officer), 2.kl (Commander), 3.kl (Officer), 4.kl (Knight), 5.kl (Gold Medal), 6.kl (Silver Medal) ), 7.class (bronze medal).
On the photo, we see that he is given a medal around his neck, it can be the 2. kl (blue) or the 1. kl (red), with or without swords.
For me : 2. kl.

Generalmajor Siegfried von Waldenburg

Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse
Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse
Verwundetenabzeichen in mattweiß
Schlesischer Adler-Orden 2. Stufe
Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer
Wehrmacht (Heer) Dienstauszeichnung 4. bis 2. Klasse
Bulgar. Kriegserinnerungsmedaille mit Schwertern
Spange zum EK 2. Klasse 28.10.1939
Spange zum EK 1. Klasse 10.06.1940
Ostmedaille 8.07.1942
Panzerkampfabzeichen in Silber
27.11.1944 AU Nr 4680
09.12.1944 Ritterkreuz
 Ungarisches Ehrenmedaille des Weltkrieges 1914-1918 mit Schwertern,
 KVK II mit Schwertern,
 Wehrmachtbericht (28 octobre 1944).

I found this recent auction, damn there's no more info than this picture. But it seems legit to me, I was already thinking about Schutzwallehrenzeichen and the odd Bulgar./Ungar. Kriegserinnerungsmedaille order before I've found it. It is supposed to be Kommandeurkreuz des Ungarischen Verdienstordens mit Schwertern. What do you think, and can you tell what the miniatures are?
Edit: I've found the original auction on https://www.hermann-historica.de/, I've applied for authorization to be able to see the photos. Now I have to wait. If anyone already has the full account there, you can check it first :D

Yes, it is the Kommandeurkreuz des Ungarischen Verdienstordens mit Schwertern.

And add (per photographic evidence): Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen

I'll report when I check the rest. So the Bulgar. Kriegserinnerungsmedaille mit Schwertern should be replaced with Kommandeurkreuz des Ungarischen Verdienstordens mit Schwertern.

They occasionally put the date of the wounding rather than the date of the award, since most wound badge awards were retroactive.

He is listed as "leicht verwundet" in the 3. August 1917 Verlustliste, and that is the only list he appears in, so I am not sure how he got the mattweiß version.
