Well, it seems all the nice toys didn't help much in Afghanistan, the partisans died in great numbers but they still won.
One wonders what they could have achieved with modern weapons - mass supplied by a sugar daddy, e.g., the West.
How many M1A1 tanks used in Afghanistan again? How many IFV's? you might as well ask how many M26 Pershings were parachuted into Normandy as it makes the same nonsensical idea.

OEF was a predominantly light fight. Canada used some Leopard tanks there
So would M1A1 tanks and IFVs win the war in Afghanistan for the US?
It somewhat seems unlikely.

Don't forget to mention the targeted buildings, and power stations, airports, hospitals, etc.

Can we please stay on topic? This thread is called 'The end of tanks as we know it?' and not 'Talk about Ukraine war'.

on 3/26 (based on the MOD briefing), they have more stats. They are claiming that that aprox. 60% of Ukrainian firepower (MLRS and artillery) and 1/3rd of Ukrainian tanks/AFV are left after 1 month of operations.

This means that they believe approx. 800 Ukr tanks/AFV (of this, approx. 265 tanks) and 1000 FA/MLRS are left.

The witness tells what the APU tank was doing at this place, as well as who and how it was hit. The action took place in Volnovakha, on the night of March 2 to 3 (from 22:00 to 5:00). At about 5:00 a.m. on March 3, a fighter from the militia of the Donetsk People's Republic came out of the corner of the house and hit a tank with a shot from a grenade launcher. From the words of the witness (he is a resident of a multi-storey building, which is located opposite the tank and this house is not visible in the video) that the tank was alone and without infantry. From about 22:00, he opened chaotic shooting at buildings and residential buildings. In particular, a tank shot destroyed a church that was built in honor of the fallen soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine originally from the Western Ukrainian city of Lutsk. At that time, the DPR militia was not in the city yet and there were no military men in the houses. The words of the witness can be confirmed by a woman living in the same house as the witness, as well as other witnesses.

Well, I've seen on Russian TV a similar "Nikolai Nikolaevich" claiming that Ukrainian police visited him frequently trying to force him to learn the Ukrainian language.

A lot of fuzzy numbers going, different claims that differ dramatically from each other. Either bad estimates or propaganda.

In the same conference the Russian MOD claimed 14,000 Ukr KIA/MIA and 16,000 WIA for the first month.
