It would be interesting to see what the actual condition of Ukraine's units are. If they lost minimum 200 dead a day that is 22,000 KIA for the first 110 days of the war and total casualties of approx. minimum of 132,000-88,000. On top of that is their MIA/POWs. The higher minimum is half of their pre-war ground forces.VanillaNuns wrote: ↑08 Jun 2022 08:38Maybe for now but I don't think this will last for long. I think you can hardly compare the ukrainian army to the volkssturm.VanillaNuns wrote: ↑08 Jun 2022 08:38Maybe for now but I don't think this will last for long. The Ukrainian army is quickly evolving into the Volkssturm. They are calling up reservists and giving them a rifle and a helmet.
But, yes, it's going to be a long war of attrition and neither side can win on the battlefield.
The Ukrainian government won't negotiate if it involves ceding territory and the Russians lack the manpower to seize and hold the entire country.
