Just to correct the record, Christian Weber certainly never threw himself in front of Hitler at the Feldherrnhalle in 1923. Weber was not one of the marchers (given his body size this may not be a surprise); he and some others were busily "expropriating" vehicles while the march was taking place. He subsequently returned the "borrowed" vehicles after the Putsch collapsed. In the aftermath of the uprising, he was sentenced to a minor term for car theft, not for treason.

Ulrich Graf caught several bullets while protecting Hitler from gunfire at the Feldherrnhalle.

In a very long report of KdS Galizien, Lemberg, Abt III A4, dated 14 May 1943, it says "Der Landkommissar von Grodek [Generalgouvernement] und Blutordensträger Steyert".

I know nothing more about him.

In post #119 on page 8 I said that Otto Ohlendorf was a Blutordenträger.
This is not correct.

I was initially using a US 1945 translation of Ohlendorf's SSO in which the translator switched Ohlendorf's Golden Ehrenzeichen as the Blutorden.

Thanks to Albert Smetanin for letting me have a copy of Ohlendorf's full SSO.
