Hi Carius,

"Abschussmarkierung" was the common German designation. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abschussmarkierung

Just a little note on your photos.

This "tradition" is probably still common today, but I don't know anything more about it. :?

There was also a special markers for German flak, when simple kill markers were no longer enough.
Maybe a local expert can chime in on that...
