Totally Agree, and the other looks to be Gen.Maj. W. Seeger

Thanks Bern

Is the general on the left side GenLt Josef BRAUNER von HAYDRINGEN shaking hands with SCHMIDT von ALTENSTADT on the right side?
The date is july 1944 at the Cassino front in Italy.
It is not Brauner von Haydringen.
Who is him then?
I think this man is Generalmajor Hermann Bacher.

I would doubt on Bacher. He was Höherer Pionierführer Generalgouvernement in July 1944. I have no hint that he would have been on the Cassino front. But maybe anyone has?

Who is this with Hitler?

#14425

Post by Xeldar » 15 Aug 2022, 23:07

Hello everyone,

I have been searching a while to identify who is with Hitler on this photo. Google search says it's Paul von Hindenburg but I'm quite sure this is not him (pic looks like it's taken around 1937), anyone would have any info?

Definately not Hindenburg.
Hitler looks like he wants to leave. ;-)

July 1944 at the Cassino front? I don't think so, amigo Christian. There's a typo.

Oberst i.G. Hans-Georg Schmidt von Altenstadt

16.06.1944 schwer verwundet
25.07.1944 Bad Tölz (im Lazarett seinen Verwundungen erlegen)
