Re: I need help to Id mortar
Thanks, karlik...
It is noteworthy that the carrying handle of the mortar base is on the side instead of on the back.

Re: I need help to Id mortar
Thank you, apollo111
On the other hand, Do you know the soviet designation of the mortar more to the right in your image ?
I also do not know the Soviet designation of the two left-most mortars.

On the right is a Soviet copy of a German mortar W. 36 with an elongated barrel.
Produced at a factory "Севморпуть" in the city of Murmansk.

Anyone interested in 50 mm Soviet mortars should check sa-kuva.fi numbers 113153-57, 115870, 127042-47, 172653-61. Use the Finnish version and tic "päivättömät" plus individual #.
And should you post sa-kuva.fi pictures on AF or elsewhere, please mention the picture number.

Re: I need help to Id mortar
Hi Sturm 78,
You are right! These mortar ammo shells belong to the Soviet 50mm mortar RM-38 or RM-40 (RM = company mortar). Here a pic of the model RM-38.
Best regards
Bert
