Do we have any official documents or book references for this added on armor on the Sturmmörserwagen 606/4 mit 38 cm RW 61 or else Sturmtiger ? Any information regarding its thickness,when it was added ?

According to Panzer Tracts 8, Sturmgeschuetz by T.L. Jentz the plate was 50 mm thick and was already present on the first prototype.
