There is an article in The Spectator Magazine that claims China intervened in the early 2022 proposal for Poland to send Migs to Ukraine making it clear it saw it as a step too far and that in response to this pressure the US blocked the move. It further claims that NATO is not sending all the weapons Ukraine are asking for because of the same Chinese pressure.

Note to the loons, The Spectator is a right-wing publication.

NYT article about Bakhmut. It appears that they agree with Wagner's press service at least on one point- the endless battle for Bakhmut, largely using PMCs- is aimed at fixing various Ukrainian formations around the city and the environs.

" Our task is not Bakhmut himself, but the destruction of the Ukrainian army and the reduction of its combat potential, which has an extremely positive effect on other areas, so this operation was dubbed the "Bakhmut meat grinder"."

Hahaha, by focusing on Bakhmut the Russians have had from the extremely positive effect of being forced to run away from Kharkiv and Kherson Oblasts

That is incorrect. I would blame that defeat in Kharkiv on the withdrawal of the Russian army from the Donbass after the taking of the Luhansk Oblast in July, leaving the theatre weakened and barely able to advance.

Kherson is in some respects a pyrrhic victory given that it greatly wore down Ukrainian operational reserves and ammunition supplies but it did tie down the Russian operational reserve at the same time, keeping it away from the Donbass/Kharkiv axis.

These field fortifications are what the growing number of reservists are for.

Russian units only withdrew because they had been rendered combat ineffective by heavy losses. It wasn't out of the goodness of their hearts.

A Pyyrhic victory in Kherson would have been one where the Ukrainians had to fight for the city street by street.

Ukraine will lose the war, the endless excuses are of no value.

Like WW2- just give Russia time to leverage its vast material and manpower superiority.

Oh yes, trench warfare as over hundred years ago.

Standing in the mud like in 1917, seems not much has changed since then.

Seems to me its the Russians who are desperately seeking excuses (failure at Bakhmut 'extremely positive effect on other areas')

Russia percentage of global GDP - 1.5%. Countries militarily supporting Ukraine, percentage of global GDP - 40%.

Russian women are now actively encouraging their husbands and partners to rape as many Ukrainian women and girls as they can says Zelensky's wife:

https://news.sky.com/story/wives-of-rus ... s-12757474

Yeah right. :? Cause rapists and sex offenders in Russia obviously don't have the same stigma about them as everywhere else in the world.

So much so that freed Russian prisoners convicted of sex crimes are banned from volunteering to join the military.

Even the Wagner mercenaries wouldn't touch them either. Well, officially anyway but who knows for sure?

A Russian news reporter who made a joke in extremely poor taste about Russian soldiers committing rape and also the deaths of Ukrainian children was sacked from his job.

Even the Russian authorities knew this was a step too far. Raping women and killing children is nothing to joke about.

I can't imagine any Russian woman welcoming her husband back knowing that he's been raping civilian women and girls (possibly underage) and bringing back an STD.

It's a pathetic effort to make Russian women look like complicit savages. That is wrong on so many levels.

So much so that freed Russian prisoners convicted of sex crimes are banned from volunteering to join the military.

Putin on Friday signed a law that allows citizens convicted for serious crimes to be drafted for military service.

The only group of criminals exempted from the decree are those who committed sex crimes against minors, treason, spying or terrorism. Also excluded are those convicted of the attempted assassination of a government official, hijacking an aircraft, extremist activity and illegal handling of nuclear materials and radioactive substances.
https://edition.cnn.com/2022/11/05/euro ... nders-intl

Since sex criminals can be drafted in Putinistan, what is your source on maintaining that they cannot volunteer?

So male members of the Rapist Army were not welcomed home after the Great Imperialistic Wars of 1939...45? Re: STDs it seems more probable that Orcs infect Ukrainians.
