A spectacular office, though I would have thought that Meissner's office would have been located closer to Hitler's office...??

Many thanks for sharing these photos,

To bad we don't have a more detailed map off offices, one can never be positive. Also if you scroll back 2 pages... look at the AH plaques recovered from the RK.

Thanks, fbeaty1 -- exactly which post number are you referring to here?

I am reading Despina Stratigakos' "Hitler at Home" and she mentions his 'new private apartment on the second floor (of the Old Chancellery)' (I'm reading it on Kindle so don't have page numbers). She then states that there was ' a large outdoor roof terrace built on top of the dining room...(from which) guests.. enjoyed views of the treetops in the Chancellery park" Does anyone have a photo of this rooftop terrace?

Are there any photos of Goebbels's office at the end/post war?

"Are there any photos of Goebbels's office at the end/post war?"

Of course, Goebbels had two offices in Berlin: His office as Reichsminister of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda was across Wilhelmstrasse from the Reichschancellery complex, at Wilhelmsplatz, and his office as Gauleiter of Berlin was accross from the end of the New Reichschancellery at the corner of Vossstrasse and Hermann-Göring-Strasse. I believe both buildings were heavily damaged by war's end.

I was not aware he had an office at the corner of Voss and Hermann-Goring-Strasse. I do know he had a villa near the Brandenburg Gate.

Yes, Goebbels' Berlin residence was a villa near the Brandenburg Gate, and he also had a mansion and a lake-front estate -- Haus am Bogensee. In 1935 Goebbels bought a mansion on Schwanenwerder, a very exclusive island community on Lake Wannsee east of Berlin, which became his official address. This mansion – which had been the property of Deutsche Bank Director Oscar Schlitter – is located on Inselstrasse 8-10 on the island’s main street.

I'm trying to track down and confirm a story of graffiti, written in Hebrew, left in Gebbels' office by a Red Army officer.
