It generally meant, (v) batteries had guns on field carriages, which could be moved just anytime in a matter of minutes, while guns of the (o) batteries had just pedestal mounts and had to be bolted to a concrete foundation.

You're right it would take some time but the gun got there on its own set of wheels and would leave, eventually, on its own set of wheels unlike an 88mm on a "behelfslaffette".
