SS-Ostubaf. Heinrich Kröplin

Post by Shane A Beaver » 23 Jan 2023, 20:46

Other than biographical data (date of birth, promotion dates SS numbers, etc.), can anyone provide me with information on the career of SS-Ostubaf. Heinrich Kröplin, please?
SD-Hauptamt before the war, but there is no mention of him in the 1944 DAL, so what became of him?
Any information will be gratefully received, thanks.

I think this is what we call "clutching at straws" and bears no relation to the SS officer I alluded to, but thanks all the same.

Well, my thinking was: The individual was probably not a full-time SD employee (otherwise he would have left more traces). Then, to warrant the high rank, he had to be in an elevated position. The surname is quite scarce so that I reckon the one hit I had might be identical to the SD officer.

AliasDavid: Whilst I agree that Kroeplin was probably not actually an active SD or Gestapo officer, I hardly think it likely that someone who was born on 2 December 1893 could "settle in his birthplace in the year 1883"!!!! And yes, he may have had a son who was in the SS, but he was not alluded to in the post.
Peter: his date of birth was 2 December 1893, and this came from the 1938 DAL, SS No 307,999, NSDAP NO 699,266, EK 1 & 2 WW1, Joined SS as an Ostubaf 1/7/38 (SD-HA). No mention in the 1944 DAL

SS-Ostubaf. Heinrich Kröplin SS #307999 was expelled (Ausstoßung) from SS in 1941 (SS-BBl 20.08.1941)
born in Berlin
Kröplin, Heinrich.jpg
I guess he was somewhere in NSDAP- oder civil-administration ....

In Adressbuch Berlin 1938 a Heinrich Kröplin Betriebsleiter; Treptow Kielholzstraße 258

That would be four people: Heinrich Kröplin sen. and jun., Heinrich senior's son-in-law ? Stier and Heinrich senior's grandson Karl Heinrich Stier. Maybe Heinrich junior, who seems to have left the Kröplin business in 1933 (I found a reference for that), is identical to the "Betriebsleiter" in the Berlin address book and the SD officer.
