Re: NARA rolls made digital
Hi
i am searching for SSO rolls for doing research in academics of the SS/Waffen-SS. Travel to Berlin and search for people of special professions in the Federal Archives gets very time-consuming and expensive. Every single roll would therefore help me a lot.
I need the rolls of K, L, M, R, S and W (except the ones that are online on WW2archives).
But unfortunately I have nothing to trade except some copies of single files, mainly academics in the SS. I hope you will help anyway and am sure we can make a deal if necessary.

Re: NARA rolls made digital
I'm having trouble downloading T77 R286.
Every other T77 reel I've tried using DTA works fine. Is there anybody here with the diagnostic skills to work out why this won't work (for me).

Hello
According to the catalogue, this role is missing. So it is not a mistake.

Thanks for your response. Where do I find this listing as I've been bumbling through the Next Gen Catalog to find reels to download and I'd like to search in a more structured fashion. Incidentally, this is where reel 286 can be found:

Hello
this is T77 R286 , here is a special feature to note.
It must be entered for single images like this: *[00001:01500].jpg
https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorag ... /T77-0286-[00001:01500].jpg
This is the last frame of the reel, continuation in T77 R287 , strange here, the first frame has exactly the same frame counter. However, the picture shows system 12, which is why there was an error in the reproduction.

Uli
Thanks - much appreciated.
Could you also share the link which supports displaying the T77 microfilms in numeric order as it would make life easier.

Sort them by "NARA ID" on the site's search result.steve coates wrote: ↑03 Feb 2023 12:44Could you also share the link which supports displaying the T77 microfilms in numeric order as it would make life easier.

Re: NARA rolls made digital
Have they removed the pdf download option since they created the new version of the site, or does it still exist? Also, I noticed that the .Tiff versions of these rolls (Count Ciano rolls) weigh over 30 mb per file!nickterry wrote: ↑13 Feb 2023 00:55Small RG 242 tidbits added tonight:

Re: NARA rolls made digital
The pdf option is available for some series, and not for others. Go know how they set that.
I have noticed that the jpg scans of some rolls are overweighted. The introduction frames can weight 10-30Mb/frame for no information. It turns into a problem for storage and manipulation, so that I resize them to a more standard weight. The free version of Photoscape can process a whole roll in a few minutes.

Re: NARA rolls made digital
Does anyone know if the KTB for 1. Panzer-Armee exists in digitised form for the period 1942-1943?
