As far as I know not a member of either SA, NSKK, NSFK, RAD or HJ (HJ-Führer) but a NSDAP party official (lower?) that was awarded the Ritterkreuz as a Feuerwerker and a Führer for a Volksturm unit in the Kölner area.

Wilhelm Sitt, RK on 07.02.1945 as Führer eines Btls. D. Kölner Volksturmes und Abschnittsleiter (ehrenamtl.) im Gau-Org. Amt der NSDAP-Gauleitung Köln-Aachen (Scherzer 2005).

Moderators, If Wilhelm Sitt falls outside of the parameters of this particular thread, please remove this post...

On 25.10.41, Oberleutnant Emmert, with his Bataillon on the left wing of Infanterie-Regiment 282, set out for the assault on the Rollbahn east of Gorky. [He] made the independent decision, deviating from his orders, to attack and take the area of Gorky from the southeast and then to occupy it with his Bataillon and parts of the III. Bataillon. He thus played the main part in the creation of the bridgehead over the Nara in the path of the Rollbahn, which is of great importance for the resumption of the attack on Moscow. The front line of the bridgehead remains in the position captured by him. (Bundesarchiv RW 59/2212/1303)

Thank you! Always exciting to be able to add another name.
Hopefully the Bundesarchiv will digitize the Luftwaffe RK-Kartei (as they have that for the Heer) in the not too distant future; I think that will likely reveal a large number of additional SA RKTs.

May I ask the source for his SA rank and SA-Gruppe assignment?

Best wishes and thanks again,

During the week I thought that I had two SA-Ritterkreuzträger for you. As I came back from the Bundesarchiv in Berlin yesterday and wanted to post them I first wanted to make sure of the awards by looking at traces of war - which again turns out to have two Heinz Bretschneider 8O The one that I came up with yesterday: https://www.tracesofwar.com/persons/142 ... marine.htm but also this SA-Mann, who is actually the fellow mentioned below: https://www.tracesofwar.com/persons/222 ... ent-13.htm

Wow! That's a hell of a find...
I think we can add him to the list. Do you have the full file? It would be interesting to know what appears on the right collar tab.
Thanks for sharing this.
More here, and the picture is surely of the same man: https://www.tracesofwar.com/persons/238 ... l-Hans.htm
