One of the comments on the video hits the nail right on the head:

heheheh-comments aren't 'history'. It is just another misinformed opinion!

Late again.
I already made that point earlier in the thread

If someone posts primary materiel and then comments on it that is still a primary source of information..............

Now I am doing the gap-filling and until someone finds a source that directly contradicts any of my 'gap-filling' then any challenge or disagreements that arise is nothing more than a difference of opinion.................

And thanks for confirming my other point:

I am not saying everyone who dislikes or criticises Tank Archives is that biased but a good number of those who hate Tank Archives are uniformly biased against ANY Russian source. .................

OK. mOBIUS is an old friend. Very knowledgeable along the lines of armor penetration and tanks etc. You can look him up here with a search.

Google Chieftain and the Ukrainian conflict at your own risk. He made a jerk out of himself. I don't play the games he represents, and that is that.

I still don't understand what you mean by Chieftain making a jerk out of himself. Can you link the article/video/etc he made?

To be clear, 'The Chieftain' is a part of WWII History by his employment. It is MY opinion that his extensive modern experience, while useful in some cases, is not applicable in many cases. And having him, interview a troll like TA-Guy, kind of turns me off. I can just say, they believe in what they think they are saying is 'true', but it is not just my opinion that TA-Guy has an agenda. Opinions are allowed on this forum i believe.

I only post this as it was asked. Probably not best to discuss it. His conclusions, have not been updated.

To be very clear I trust the Chieftains analysis anyday over an anonymous internet poster.
He also isnt part of Ww2 History since he wasnt born then.

By the way the Chieftain is not just opining on WW2 armor but all eras, and is someone with experience as tank crew on the technical aspects and crew duties, and commanding Armor/Cav units in combat. Is he fallible? of course, but I'd bet my stripes he is better informed than the anonymous internet poster(s).

I don't know what all this squabble about bias is about. You go there, you look at the sources and if it seems reliable you take it, if not then leave it...
I love myself way more than I love you

And I think about killing myself

So, best believe, I thought about killing you today

Whether people are biased or not matters very much, a lot of people use the internet for research and if said internet is polluted with biased and untrustworthy sources you end up with biased untrustworthy nonsense being spread around.

There is a certain community that believes all contrary opinion must be eliminated. They desperately want control of the narrative and Tank Archives is very much outside of their perspective. I tried explaining that posting original documentation and then commenting in no way detracts from the source being 'original' but it seems its not enough for the purists. You have top put a certain spin on it otherwise you get hit with the idiotic 'all Russian sources are fake/suspect' mantra.
