Re: execution in Poland?
You mean, the pic where civilians are laying dead along a way?
The text on the photo tells its near Belsen...
I presume these are sat on death marches at the end of the war; and when the nazi german escort noticed they werent able to go longer, got shot.
With variations, of course.

Re: execution in General Government?
If anything it was the General Government - no Poland. Or German-occupied Poland. Or German-occupied part of Soviet Union.
Typical extermination of a captured Jew by the German Gendarmerie during Judenjagd (or Soviet POW's).

Re: execution in Poland?
I didnt found these photos. But its of course exactly as Orlov says... What is geographically in the Poland of today, wasnt at all counted as Poland during ww2... The whole area in question was ruled by germans / nazi germans. Technically part of the Germany, or the General Gubernership, or... But everyting into the frontline, ruled by Germany... Obseve also, there was no big scale cooperation Poles-Germans, so no nazi-friendly non german enclaves either...

Re: execution in Poland?
Re these shots nearby Belsen. They are clothed in decent civilian clothes. Que?
These COULD be freshly captured marsched to Belsen Bergen, but abandoned before arrival and shot on place.
But they can easily been inmates of Belsen Bergen... And shot as a result of aborted evacuation. This lager was somewhat peculiar, a little of a basic Theresienstad... The jewish inmates were held there as a reserve; IF... So, the death rate WAS fairly hight, but there were no or very little active killings as active killing was NOT the purpose of this lager, and even no hard exhausting killing work... And yes, most inmates kept their civilian clothes... That is why photos of survivors (or shot during aborted evacuation as here) do usually shows people in normal, civilian clothes.

Re: execution in Poland?
Interesting is to notice this journal from America, in the middle of burning war, with pics of murdered people and some info about the war... Yet the majority of material is normal, civilian life... Underclothes for women, cigarette brands, leisure time, etc...
This way, its easier to understand how come, when Ludmila Pavlichenko, freshly from front, with 309 registered killings of fascist soldiers, she expects question of how it is to fight, what help do they need; but to her great surprrise and even anger, she is asked when in field, if she preferred underwear of cotton or of silk....
Of course, most journalists werent no war correspondents, and they send lady specialists to the female soldier... But when we know what the american journals were full off, its not peculiar they asked Ludmila of her experiences about underwear...
They didnt know the russian female soldiers got male underwear in the beginning, or perhaps even no underwear at all... female adapted clothes come later on.

Re: execution in Poland?
This is typical death tourism.
I recently presented similar photos
Sorry Stephen, I'm having a hard time understanding the phrases:
ruled by [...] nazi germans. [...] no big scale cooperation Poles-Germans, so no nazi-friendly non german enclaves either.
There was no NaziDAP, only NSDAP.
Besides, you probably don't write Sozi or Kozi (or Commies), but German social democrats or German communists.
