I have Leonhard Rendl as a Feldkonsistorialdirektor since 1 May 1913, at Rangklasse VI (therefore not at General level). Am I to understand from your posting that as of 1.9.1917 the rank of Feldkonsistorialdirektor was raised to Rangklasse V? Is there a source (Verordnungsblatt) for that?

Thanks,

AJK

Hello,

Leonhard Rendl:
01.05.1913 Feldkonsistorialdirektor [1]
01.09.1917 Feldkonsistorialdirektor der V. Rangklasse (Titel und Charakter)

PVBl. 149/1917 v. 11.08.1917; (A.h.E. v. 04.08.1917 - Präs. Nr. 21457 v. 06.08.1917)

So the rank of Feldkonsistorialdirektor can be RK VI or RK V.

Ministerialrat Victor MIHÁLFFY von Mihálfy (? - ?)
Died 1930.11.27. Budapest at age 72.

Győző = Victor in Hungarian. The "Nagykosztolányi" is the part of his nobility title.

I think that we are looking at two different officers. You refer to nagykosztolányi Mihálffy Győző (honvédelmi miniszteri tanácsos) 1854-1930. The officer for whom I am looking for birth and death dates is Ministerialrat Victor MIHÁLFFY von Mihálfy (in Hungarian: mihálfi Mihálffy Győző), who was promoted to Ministerialrat in 1900 and retired in 1906. Nagykosztolányi Mihálffy Győző was too young for both these promotion and retirement dates.

Hi Jake,

Back in 2018, in a different thread, you wrote the following:

Generalmajor Friedrich August Nikolaus Bischoff (ab 1891 Edler von Klammstein)
* 03.01.1864 in Wien-Wieden
† 20.10.1926 in Wien

Steiner has Bischoff as an Oberst on 31.12.1918, and I have been unable to find any source that shows his promotion to Generalmajor before the end of the war. Can you help, please?

Thanks, and best wishes,

AJK

Andris,
I can answer this one.
Generalmajor Friedrich August Nikolaus Bischoff (ab 1891 Edler von Klammstein) was promoted 17.03.1922 as an ÖBH Generalmajor d.R.
