Hi,

Who is the RKT next to Manteuffel? Is the officer on the extreme right Hans Dieter von Basse of PzFusRgt GD?

Cheers

Hi Chris,

This is from your earlier thread on von Schobert, Antonescu and Brauchitsch at his funeral. Who is the RKT next to Brauchitsch?

4.jpeg is an officer from 6 Reiter Rgt.
5.jpeg, could it be GenMj Heinrich Baron von Behr, 90 PzGr Div. Did he earn the Close Combat Clasp?

The last one -- Anton Mueller of 290 Div?

The officer next to Maunteuffel is Major Hugo Schimmel (from Grossdeutschland)

after convalesence from wounds Oberst schimmel was ordered in april 1945 to report to the army personnel office in hitlers bunker in Berlin fro new orders, . Fortunately, his orders took him to bavaria as part of the army's reserve of temporary unatached officers.

he was captured by americans and released form captivity in 1946

Hi!

Can anyone please confirm whether this is General der Artillerie Siegfried Thomaschki, or if not, then identify him?

Many thanks in advance,

VJK

In my humble opinion too, and the ribbon bar in VJK's pic matches exactly that from the standard Thomasschki one.
