Hi Fangio

#1 is Josef Schneider from 78. STurm-Div.
#2 is Hans Hindelang from the "GD" Div.
#3 is still unknown. From a gut feeling, I would say this photo was taken in 1945. Let's say it is likely a WH RKT who was awarded the KC as an Uffz. (or a lesser rank) and who might have survived the war.

Hi again
Regarding the unknown RKT wearing glasses and 3 TDBs (of whcih a handcrafted one), might it be Otto Binnig or Hans Siegler ? I have no pics for both. Thanks for checking

Denis

Hi
To John : thanks for the correcting the spelling mistake. I typed too fast my response to Fangio ! The worst thing is that there is also a Josef Schreiber listed as RKT !
To Fangio : 26 is Schreiber, 25 is Hindelang

#30 looks like Georg Storck, EL880, to me.

Not so sure that RK4 posted on PP1 of this thread is von Canstein.

Unknown_1 posted on PP14 is Helmut Harth
Unknown_4 and Unknown_5 posted on PP14 are Johannes Biel.

In the meantime, how about these?

Cheers

Found this from the same series of pics taken of Busch and unknown EL winner. Not the best quality in the world!

New pic clearly shows Busch as GenObst and without EL. Therefore pic was between 9.7.40 when he was promoted GenObst and 20.8.43. Judging from the clothes being worn, spring or early summer or early fall.

These were the EL winners who won EL before Busch did that somewhat looked like the guy in question:
#58 von Boddien
#61 von Wolf
#121 Ziegler
#132 Torley
$140 Seitz
#164 von Hirshfeld
#182 von Gazen
#206 Malachoski

But only von Boddien of AufklaAbt 22 (12 Pz??) and von Wolf of SchutzRgt28 (8 Pz) seem to fit the bill for the HrGr Nord.

Comments welcome.

von Boddien was killed in 1.1942 near Eupatoria/Kerch (southern sector)
& he received the oakleaves posthum.

Do you have larger scan of the face ?
