Thank you very much, both.

Daniel, I agree iden5 was definitely Fröhlich.

Denis, so much for the accuracy of captions! Schmied was no where near GrRgt 44. So iden4 remains a mystery for the time being.

Cheers
Freiherr

Hello Freiherr
Sorry, I made a mismatch between iden3 and iden4 regarding your comments.
To make things clear (at least I hope), iden3 is Lorenz Schmied, definitively. Iden4 will remain a mistery for the moment.
Sorry again
Denis

Gentlemen!

iden 6. jpg is Unteroffizier Siegfried Amerkamp. He later joined the Waffen-SS and ended the War as an SS-Oberscharfuehrer. Do you have a picture of him in Waffen-SS uniform?

Regards,

Edward :)

Who is this? All I know is that he is an oberleutnant and served in the Luftwaffe. I got the information on e-bay.

The Luftwaffen-Oberleutnant is Siegfried Schnell.

Hi,

If it was Schnell, I would have never guessed. There were 10 pounds worth of hair piled on!!

In the meantime, EBay has this pic claimed to be Heinrich Seidel. (notquite.jpeg). I have Das-rittrekreuz.de's H. Seidel for comparison. Both of them looked to young to be GenMj Erich Seidel.

Who was who then?

Cheers

Hello
Regarding the unknown Eichenlaubträger from the LW, I would have say he looks like Joachim Müncheberg instead of Siegfried Schnell

Hallo Denis,

I cannot agree, I saw a lot of shots from Müncheberg. Our man doesn' t look like him.
If you wlii not accept Schnell, what's about Hermann-Friedrich Joppien?

Hello

Sporry Oberstab but the more I see the photo, the more I think this is Müncheberg.
I will eat the crow if I'm wrong 8)
I am going to post several pics from both Schnell, Joppien and Müncheberg.
Best regards
Denis (future crow eater ?)

Here we go : first of all, a color pic from Joachim
