It's a Horten 229 (sometimes refered to it as Go 229 or Ho 229) - a flying wing aircraft. I belive only four prototypes were ever made in different stages of production by the end of the war. The most important thing is that a prototype did flew. The flying wing concept was invented and developed by the Horten brothers.
It's interesting that the B-2 Stealth bomber is also a flying wing, but unlike the superb Ho 229, it cannot perform even a straight flight without numerous constant adjustments made by a very powerfull computer.
waffen_für _alle's pic is that of a Ho 229 in a museum's warehouse in America. It has it's wings removed.
The photo I got somewhere from the net, from a google image search, sorry I can't remember the source.

is correct, is a gotha flying wing (sans wings) you are looking at the plane from the back, the cockpit (top of it) can be seen in the top of the plane, just between the two engines, but in front...

Luft '46 has an interesting article on this aircraft.
For the record, there were no 'Nazi flying saucers' or any sci-fi babble like that. The Luftwaffe had several advanced experimental aircrafts, though.

I've examined that author, about his book in Turkish,I can clearly say that he wrote his book based on personal reflections and fictional stories. He hasn't go with real documents.I agree that there can exist some space project of Third Reich;however,Turkish writer didn't research very well in my opinion. He aimed to look at W-SS Fez of Bosnian-Muslim volunteers for only being attractive.waffen_für _alle wrote:recently i read a book of a turkish writer.the name of the book is:secret history of hitler's germany.the book was about nazi flying saucers and hitler's military bases on the moon and mars.it also tells alot about the aryans in inner world.some people can say it is piece of crap but i enjoyed it.
