Sorry, no ID but I think "in good hands here"..

What about this!? All sources are telling that Anding got his RK on May 8th 1945!

Why did he write April 20 1945 in the caption of his photo in this eBay auction!?

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... eName=WDVW

Thanks

Hannes

It's not Anton Otto Frank, as there is photo of him with DKiG without RT. As to the other two, Erich was from GrRgt 116 and Otto Frank was from GrRgt 278. What's the connetion with Heinz Unger, SchutzRgt 10?

Cheers

Hi Freiherr!
That was my thought, no connection with Heinz Unger since he's from SchutzRgt 10 but "Mogdala" wrote in his post that these men were "Hptm Frank and Mj Unger". Maybe they knew each other? Could it be Mj Otto Frank? "Mogadala" wrote Hptm and not Hptm d Res so maybe it's not Mj d Res Erich Frank, but I may be wrong.
Well, who could this Frank be??? :?
Regards,

FANGIO

(1) The man in the photograph was identified as
Obst Rolf Latz,
kmdr InfRgt 47/ 22 Div
born 04.06.1896
died 06.11.1943

(2) Schmitz, Thies, Ergmann, Zweng has a ObstLt Albert Rudolf Latz of InfRgt 47 winning the DKiG on 27.10.41, but he did not stay on with 22 Inf Div to win the RK

(3) http://www.das-ritterkreuz.de has a RKT Obst Albert Latz, RKT
born 04.07.1896
died 06.11.1943
Führer, KmpfGr "Latz"

Same man? or did someone get some of the details wrong? What was KmpfGr "Latz"?
Albert Latz / AHF id
this should be indeed Albert Latz , full name Albert-Rudolf , short version (nick, common in german Rolf for Rudolf) "Rolf"
who earned the KC : 30.12.1943 p.m., Oberst z.V., Führer Divisionsgruppe 323 (Kampfgruppe Latz) and was decorated before with 22. Inf.Div. :
Latz, Albert-Rudolf, 27.10.1941, Oberstleutnant, Inf.Rgt. 47 / DKiG
Latz, Albert-Rudolf, 03.10.1941 (403), Oberstleutnant, Fhr. Inf.Rgt. 47 / AU

All 19 Pz:

One pic shows Gustav Schmidt ( I think ) awarding RK to ObstLt Gustav Adolf Bruns on 15.10.42. -- So not the same RKT in second pic. What does the second pic show? Hans Källner awarding RK to a Mj. Was it Mj Alfred Nähring or Mj Walter Mecke?

das-ritterkreuz.de has a pic of Nähring

Cheers

Any ideas on this SS KC (or is it Oak Leaves ??) holder.

The picture is captioned as General Eberbach with SS.Pz.Div. Hitlerjugend at Caen in 1944.

Is this the same person?
I have him as Freyer in both cases but they seem different to me. I may be wrong though.
