Hi Hec,

thanks for confirmation. So when Iam right, these four men are Luftwaffenofficers in tank units. Nothing to do with real airplanes?! Just normal tank soldiers.

Nothing to do with airplanes, they were land units of the Luftwaffe and fought like any other Heer or Waffen SS unit.

Hello
The pic posted by Freiherr on page 63 (21/01/05) and named StuG77_RKT2.jpg shows Theodor Hacker (RKT with M43 cap) and Henze.

Thank you Denis,

I think you meant to identify the pilot as ObLt Theodor Haker, StKp, 6/StukaG 77.

Cheers
Freiherr

Hi Bake,

My guess would be the general to the left was GenMj Ludwig Wolff EL #100 22.06.42 and the officer to the right was ObstLt Walter Gorn EL #113 17.08.42.

I can barely see the RK on Wolff's neck, let alone the EL, but Wolff's awards were hung very similar to the person had his in the picture. And it was clearly summer. I don't know f your records showed Wolff getting EL same occasion as Gorn.

Cheers
Freiherr
