Who knows the music always played in german radios starting a special news from the war?
After the music (maybe it was something from Beethoven or Wagner ?) it was said:
Aus dem Führerhauptquartier: Das Oberkommando der deutschen Wehrmacht gibt bekannt...
<From the Führer's Headquarter: The Highcommand of the german army declares...
I'm looking for this music as a mp3-file.

Do not really know - but could it have been 'der Engelandlied'? (The England song) I'm certain it was not 'Bomben auf Engeland'. The Engeland-Lied originated before the 1st WW and has a very chauvinistic text and rousing music. The refrain goes; 'Denn wir fahren, denn wir fahren - gegen Engeland...'. It was well known and played on radio (and record) about 1940-42.

Its a short fanfare written for the sole purpose to mark the following announcement as news about the war against England, basically a jingle.
There were some other fanfars (e.g. French fanfar, Russian fanfar).
They were very short (a couple of beats) instrumental pieces for full orchestra, not real songs like the "Englandlied".
Regards
Mark

These were the official German radio victory fanfare during WWII:
1. England-Fanfare (for the campaign against England)
- containing a drum roll and the melody "denn wir fahren gegen Engelland, Engelland" from "Matrosenlied" by Herms Niel
2. Frankreich-Fanfare (for France)
- containing a drum roll and the melody "Es braust ein Ruf wie Donnerhall" from "Die Wacht am Rhein" by Karl Wilhelm
3. Balkan-Fanfare (Prinz-Eugen-Fanfare) (for Yugoslavia and Greece)
- containing a drum roll and the melody "Prinz Eugen"
4. Ost-Fanfare (Russland-Fanfare) (for Soviet Union)
- containing the melody "Kam'raden, die Rotfront" from "Horst-Wessel-Lied", a drum roll and the fanfare motif from "Les préludes" by Franz Liszt
Cheers,
Ivan
