Who is he? This photo was taken after the battle for a small village called Dražgoše in Slovenia between 9.1.1942 and 11.1.1942. This photo is quite famous in Slovenia, but I have no clue who the RKT is...

any help?

best,
Miha / Nibelung

Hello all,

I have this original photo, unfortunately it isn't very clear. The photo must be taken 1943.
I think the second from left is Walter Model. Who is the other RKT left? I think it is the adjutant of model. Perhaps anybody can help.

Thanks for such a speedy reply! I didn't recognise him with all those clothes on. He looks much older than his Belgrade photos, the strain of war, eh.

best,

Hello Nibelung,

the photo is taken only some months after Belgrad.

This very nice portrait appeared lately on Forum der Sammlergemeinschaft Deutscher Auszeichnungen as unknown, possibly Gustav Meiercord. can anyone confirm the identity?

Hello
This picture has surfaced in the early pages of this thread but as far as I remember, nobody could answer. If we suppose that the photo was efectively taken in Warsaw (uprising in 1944 ?), it would be great to know the major Heer units which were present in this town for the uprising. This could narrow the scope of the field.
Otherwise, I am afraid it will be very difficult to name this officer.
Regards
Denis
