I have seen a better quality picture in another forum and I think I could recognize generals Hans Greiffenberg and Kurt von der Chevallerie on your 4_and_chevallerie picture.
Regards.

Although not completely sure I think that the Japanese general in both pictures is Lieutenant-General Oshima Hirosima. Japanese Ambassador to Germany.

I find picture 6a & 6b very interesting. Do we have a Bulgarian general here? (the one with sabre). At least their uniforms look Bulgarian to me.

Kind Regards

Agree with Steen, re: Oshima. Comparison with a photo of the man in John Angolia's For Führer and Fatherland, Volume II shows it's definitely him.

Busch holds a nostalgic place in my “research history.” He was the first German general that I became interested in enough to request his Personal-Nachweis/Dienstlaufbahn from Germany way back in October 1994! Seeing a small photo of Busch in Hans Dollinger’s The Decline and Fall of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan: A Pictorial History of the Final Days of World War II sparked my initial question: who is this field marshal with the Pour le Mérite and why can’t I find more than a passing mention of him in the standard literature!

General_staff.jpg shows Von Reichenau.
Generals.jpg shows Von Briesen, not Von Küchler.

Cheers,

Hans
