I saw a couple of pics of Fries and he wasn't wearing glasses.
Best,

Nafa67 is identified as GL Eugen KÖNIG but I just saw him identified as Obst Heinrich KODRÉ at NAFA site. The picture of Kodré at http://www.das-ritterkreuz.de shows him with a cap but if you take a closer look to his mouth I think 'nafa67' is indeed Kodré.
What do you think gentlemen?

Hi there,
Does anybody recognise this Pionier Ritterkreuzträger? Here's what I know:
The photo was taken at Pionierschule II in Dessau-Rosslau in the period July to September 1942. He must have been one of the instructors there. He appears to be an officer.
That's all I can tell you. Hopefully someone recognises his face. And there couldn't have been too many Pionier Ritterkreuzträger in mid-1942.
Thanks
Jason

I took the following photo of a display board at Mauthausen concentration camp. It shows Kodré, who was eventually an inmate of the camp following the July Bomb Plot!!! Sorry for the appalling quality of the photo. In some ways he looks the same as 'nafa67', but then in others, he differs. The overall length of his face is different, as is his nose, but then his ears, mouth and chin are the same.Nafa67 is identified as GL Eugen KÖNIG but I just saw him identified as Obst Heinrich KODRÉ at NAFA site.
